It is important to let your kids get creative on their own and experiment with art and writing as much as possible. Not only does it help to develop their skills in this area, but it also means they are able to let their imaginations run wild and create wild fantasy lands with their own hands and minds, giving them the opportunity to take the lead in their own education and playtime. Not only this, but kids love the opportunity to get a bit messy, as they spend so much of their lives trying to keep clean, so having a pot of paint and free reign over a certain area can be a huge thrill for them and make them feel a little freer in their day to day lives.

When they are very young, it is also important to introduce kids to as many different experiences and skills as possible as this is how they are best going to work out what they enjoy most and decide on their own hobbies and interests. In school they will be introduced to plenty of new things and start to form opinions on each, but if you can get them started early they’ll have a great advantage in their early years and far more time to develop their interests and skills.

The Guidecraft Art Activity Desk is the perfect medium for kids to experiment with art and writing as it provides a safe and easy area for kids to create as much as they like and get involved with plenty of different art activities. The Guidecraft Art Activity Desk is a full art centre with areas for creating as well as areas for storage, so kids will be able to keep all of their art supplies in one place and be able to find everything they need quickly and easily so the next time inspiration strikes they’ll know exactly where to go!

The art center has a replaceable roll of paper on top, which has a safe cutter attached to give kids the ability to cut off sheets as long or short as they want in their creative experiments. Once the roll is done it is easy to replace for parents too. The rolled paper can be laid over the slanted easel surface to make for really easy drawing and painting, or pulled down to the floor so kids can be even more imaginative. The easel itself has a wipe clean board which allows kids to create temporary drawings or play inventive games, then simply wipe the surface clean and start again when they are done. This could be the perfect surface for children to experiment with ideas before committing them to paper!

Finally, the shelves hold plenty of art supplies, so why not stock up with water based paints, felt tip pens, board markers and crayons and give as a gift which your children will love and will help them learn and develop at the same time!
